The following archive contains summaries of programs I've written,
directed, and produced over the past twenty five years. The archive is
organized into the following categories ...

You're invited to review project summaries in the
archive above and read some of these scripts
on-line.
Scriptwriting
is the foundation of any production. Without a solid script, a project
can flounder and never reach its goal. With that said, the
first thing to realize about a script is that it's never finished.
That's because a script is a living document that is in continuous
change and revision from the moment the writer drafts the first scene.
Now some scripts are more "locked down" than others depending
on the subject matter and the client. Some topics are more straight
forward while others demand a greater level of interpretation by the
director and editor.
Regardless of topic, a script is not literature. A script is a blue
print for a media presentation: film, video, cd-rom, or combination.
Starting with a concept paragraph, the scriptwriter identifies the
target audience, primary story objective, and presentation style. From
the Concept evolves the Treatment, First Draft, Shooting Script, Editing
Script, Narration Script -- and other versions in-between.
I've written over 300 scripts since 1970, many of which I have
directed and produced. Over the years I've developed several specialty
areas including defense, business technology, medicine
(military and civilian),
agriculture, and education. I've also
written scripts on numerous other topics from a video training series
about Postal Service mail
sorting equipment to a documentary on the life of Mstislav Rostropovich, the great
Russian cellist and orchestra conductor. Your invited to surf my
archive.
